Cabinet Coat is designed for delivering a smooth finish when you wish to refurbish trim, cabinets, bathroom vanities, furniture and crown molding. Cabinet Coat offers exceptional adhesion making it suitable for painting hard destinations and can even be applied without a primer. You can use it effectively on polyurethane and varnish surfaces. Cabinet Coat displays a highly-durable semi-gloss that provides optimum flow and leveling.

General Surface Preparation

Surface areas need suitable preparation for the best results. Every surface needs to be clean and dry and free from contaminants such as mold, oil, grease, wax, or dirt. Warm, water and soap can remove most chalk and filth with some cleansing. A commercial wax stripper may be required if you are extracting surface wax. If you are handling oil or grease, using a specially formulated emulsifier will simplify the cleanup.

Prepping the component may take some time; however, it will drastically influence your overall result. Clean formerly painted places by eliminating all chipping, cracking and peeling loose paint. Use wire brushes, hand scraping equipment, electric grinders, sanders, etc. to accomplish sanding. Any metal pieces must be free from chips, mill scale and corrosion deposits. Any kind of broken surfaces that are delaminated require maintenance and sometimes replacement.

Delicately sand the paint edges alongside the surface portion you are planning to paint. Scuff up any existing shine and lightly dull any polished locations to produce better adhesion. Any dust and debris need to be vacuumed after sanding.

Best Application Methods

Cabinet Coat can easily be put on with a roller or a paintbrush. Some people would rather spray and use the HVLP option. It is essential to stir the product ahead of applying. Always make an effort to sustain a wet paint edge throughout your application and rolling or brushing adequately into locations previously coated. Cabinet Coat dries out super fast. Be wary of brush or roller marks showing up on an overworked product. Cabinet Coat delivers the best coverage when it's applied as soon as the ambient and surface temperatures are under 90 degrees Fahrenheit and greater than 50 degrees Fahrenheit. Do not paint if there is any chance of moisture accumulating on the wet paint.

Clean Up

Cleanup when your painting venture is complete by using soapy, warm water. Immediately wash your hands and let your paint gear including brushes and rollers soak. Make sure that proper soap water disposal follows the safety guidelines. Consult your local recycling centre to ascertain if they take dry or empty paint containers. Discover where your local bylaw or sanitation department stands on local disposal issues and plan as necessary. Check on disposal options with your ecological agency.

Safety, Health and the Environment

Specific air circulation is crucial at all times. Refrain from inhaling the spray mist or sanding dust at all times. A fresh air entry is required for safe application and drying. Wear proper safety gear to ensure no product will come in touch with the skin or the eyes. An approved NIOSH respirator is suggested for applying, clean up and sanding methods to save you from dust and spray mist. Use the respirator correctly by following the manufacturer’s directions. Keep the reservoir closed after every use. Before and after handling, wash your hands.

Know the FIRST AID Requirements Before Using

Wash your eyes for a minimum of fifteen minutes if any exposure occurs. In case any product touches your skin, rely on soap and water to clean up it away. Seek medical attention if necessary. Get out into the clean air immediately if there's any issue breathing. Seek medical help if breathing trouble continues.
